Well the excitement here in Tucson is quite real.The Mars lander seems to have landed safely at 4:55pm AZ time. They are gonna wait for 20 to 30 minutes for the dust to settle to open the solar panels.
It seems that a large part of the mission was designed here in Tucson at the UofA.
